Travel ?

Getting to and from the picnic:
It is a short walk from fortitude Valley train station and bus stops through out the area.
There is secure parking available at Fortitude Valley near the train station, or there is limited street parking available.

Please remember to plan your trip ahead and check out TransLink website for any information for your trip.

Who can attend the picnics?

The picnics are open to the alternative communities and those who are allies.

What should I wear? 

Suggested attire:Gothic, Edwardian, Georgian, Rococo, Baroque, Victorian/Neo-Victorian.Deathrock,Trad goth.Steampunk, Dreadpunk, Seapunk, Diesel punk, Lolita, Cyber.Rockabilly, Punk, Faery/Pastel etc...Come as your own self, be expressive and don't judge others!

Please be mindful the picnics are in public places where families are present.

Is this a LGBTQ+ and Disability friendly event?

Yes, this is safe place if you identify as LGBTQ+.
We have also found a beautiful location - Bedford park that has easy access via Love Street entry and paths through out on an even surface. It is adjacent to SpringHill Hall which has disability access via a ramp, so no one is left out.

Does it cost anything to attend the picnic?

The Brisbane Gothic and Alternative picnic is FREE to attend, no ticket required.
Bring your picnic set up and friends and come enjoy the day out.
