The Brisbane Gothic and Alternative Picnic was established in 2011 by our Hostess Lady J.
In the heart of Meanjin (Brisbane).

Starting out in very humble beginnings of a small gathering from an idea of having a gothic picnic, to growing in size and popularity over the years.
Sparking interest with our alternative and gothic communities here in Brisbane.  And also, our Gothic and alternative friends in from interstate and other areas in Queensland to enjoy our annual Brisbane Gothic and alternative picnic.

Over the last few years, Lady J has teamed up with Fire Rose from the Crimson Rose Masquerade ball to bring a bigger and better event. Combining our beloved picnic and a curated market - designed especially for our spooky souls called The Crimson Catacombs.Featuring allot of amazing local businesses and artist.

Helping to support our local thriving community of creatives.
The Crimsons Catacombs, also raises awareness and funds for a very important charity close to our hearts called Hummingbird House.

This year - 2026, is a special milestone for any community - it is 15 years strong !We love our community and gathering together with like-minded souls - in a safe place, where we are seen, heard and we are known.

The picnics are open to the alternative communities and those who are allies.
The picnics are family orientated - drug free and trouble free! We have a Zero tolerance for bullying, bigotry and hate speech.
